Be Colouring was hired to work in the pristine pre-war Emory Roth designed Coop at 60 Gramercy Park North. For this particular project, we were asked by the apartment owners to paint a Master and second bedroom, along with repairing extensive damage to the bathroom walls and ceiling.
To repair the bathroom, Be Colouring applied Structo-Lite to build up the walls and ceiling. Once dry, we used Mesh Construction Self-Adhesive Joint Tape along the edges and applied Plus 3 Premixed Lightweight Drywall Joint Compound. We applied multiple coats of Plus 3 skimming with Level 5 blades until the walls and ceiling were level. We then sanded until smooth. Afterward, we’ll then primed the walls with Farrow and Ball Mid Tone Primer and then applied two coats of Farrow and Ball’s Peignoir in Modern Emulsion to the walls. The ceiling and interior door was done in Farrow and Ball Great White Modern Emulsion and a bathroom medicine cabinet and storage unit were painted in Farrow and Ball Great White in Estate Eggshell.
Meanwhile in the Master Bedroom the walls and ceiling were done in Farrow and Ball Strong White in Modern Emulsion and the window sills, trim, doors and door frames facing inward were painted in Farrow and Ball Strong White in Estate Eggshell.
For the second bedroom, the walls and ceiling were done in Farrow and Ball Great White in Modern Emulsion while the window sills, trim, doors and door frames facing inward were painted in Great White in Estate Eggshell.
